Description
Operation:
The Boltek LD-250 Lightning Detector is designed as a long range storm tracking system, within milliseconds of detecting a lightning strike the system activates its built in alert system and will interface with the software to give an accurate location of the detected strike.
The Mobile Detection package adds in the LDGPS to adjust the heading for the antenna and GPS systems while moving to ensure the system operates as intended while the vehicle is not facing North.
Additionally the LDCMP is required while being used on boats to correct the heading while moving laterally to ensure the system remains accurate.
Offering operations anywhere from 16 miles from the detector or upwards of 750 miles the system ensures that you and your operation are aware of any storms that could threaten your personnel or operations.
The LD-250 offers flexibility through the use of either USB or RS-232 outputs allowing for any kind of computer to be connected to the system.
In the event of a close range storm the system will activate the built in Close Storm Alarm and send a signal to the software to do the same. If a severe storm is detected the system will activate the built in Severe Storm Alarm and signal the software to do the same. Both internal alarms can be deactivated by operating the push buttons on the front of the unit.
Software:
The Boltek LD-250 software will allow you to configure the system to your needs including minimum and maximum range presets, strikes per minute limit preset, alert tone, and windows notification settings.
